Understand runway, burn rate and break-even
Open a budget and click Dashboard. It sums up everything you entered.

The key figures
- Status: a one-line summary, for example "Growing: on your current path you are never going to run out of money".
- Monthly burn rate: your average monthly expenses.
- Monthly earn rate: your average monthly revenue.
- Break-even: whether and when your revenue covers your expenses, for example "Reached · Sep 2026".
- Runway: how long your cash lasts at the current burn. "Never-ending" means the cash balance never runs out within the budget.
- Total capital, Total revenue, Total expenses and Net income for the whole budget period.
Hover the small ⓘ icons for a short explanation of each figure.
If runway looks wrong
- Check that capital (your savings, loans, investment) is entered on the Capital tab. Without it, you start from zero cash.
- Check start and end dates on each item. An item outside the budget period doesn't count.
- Check the Period column. A yearly cost entered as monthly is 12 times too high.
In your plan
The same figures and charts appear in the Financials section of your business plan, including a runway explanation for readers. See Show budgets in your plan and export them.
