Add sections, charts, SWOT and other widgets

Updated September 28, 2026

A plan section is made of widgets: text blocks, charts, tables and structured blocks like SWOT. You can add more of them, and add whole sections.

Add a section

In the plan editor, click New section at the bottom of the Sections list, type a section name and press Enter. Drag sections in the list to change their order.

Move or remove a block

Each block has a drag handle to move it and a trash icon to delete it. The trash icon next to the section title deletes the whole section.

Insert a widget

Between the blocks in a section you'll see Insert new widget. Choose:

  • Smart Text: a text block with the full text toolbar.
  • Page Break: starts a new page in the PDF.
  • Chart: a bar, line, area or pie chart you fill in yourself.
  • Business: structured blocks such as SWOT Analysis, Personas, Competitors, Porter's Five Forces, Risk Analysis and Roadmap.
  • Financials: charts and tables from your budgets, such as Runway, Expenses, Revenue and Capital.

Structured blocks

  • SWOT Analysis: four boxes for strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats.
  • Personas: cards describing typical customers.
  • Competitors: cards for each competitor and how you compare.
  • Roadmap: milestones grouped over time.

Financial widgets need a budget

Runway, Expenses, Revenue and Capital widgets show data from a budget. If you haven't created one yet, see Create a budget.
